This forum doesn't make any money so hiring a staff to decipher the discussion is not possible.

FWIW Mod,
You will find this to be the situation of almost *any* hobby forum. Be it fish, horses, guns, photography or breeding. I've been a part of many forums and when I first signed up...they were all greek to me. I had to post my own threads asking questions I needed answered. Some people answered my questions, some pointed me in the direction of another thread since it had already been discussed. Many threads I couldn't follow since I had not been there when they were first created.
Regarding FB. People can choose to be a fan of Pluba or not. Most of us keep our FB private for family and real life friends who know us and our families. If we choose not to be a fan of Pluba, it's really no big deal. For each one of us who doesn't become a fan, there will be someone who does. If I had a FB page for "Horneybull" I may consider being a fan, but honestly I just don't have the time for all that. It's hard enough just being me and keeping up with my current page!
The ad was obtrusive. However, that didn't mean you needed to remove it completely unless of course layout issues prevented it from being made more uniform.
I know your opinion on breeding is pretty nonchalant, as in breeding is breeding. Your idea in renaming the forum to 'Responsible Breeding' is actually a good one. After all, isn't that what we all should be doing in *everything* in our everyday lives? Being responsible individuals? Taking responsibility for our actions? Breeding is no different. You said in the beginning you wanted it to be a place where people could come and learn. IMHO, a person needs to "learn" how to become a responsible breeder. Anyone than throw two dogs/cats/etc. together and make babies.
Just my 2¢
