You are right about one thing. This topic is about an important issue, not your poor breeding practices, nor my dislike for it. Although I do find it fitting YOU are a prime example of what this bill is trying to eliminate.

I agree with you here, I stated earlier that people will not be able to do what I did if this law passes. I have also been promoting the s/n issue with many people I know. I have helped several now to pay for this to be done with their pets.

When I said that about moving on, what I meant by that was only about the issue of my breeding Tinkerbell. I never meant to suggest that you needed to move on in any other area. I take my hat off to you with all you have accomplished with your animals.

I never preached spay/n. in fact I don't agree with pediatric S/N.
It will not help to place another law on top of laws they don't enforce now. And why waste money building a hugh new shelter there if this new law will make it so there are less animals for that shelter? Why spend thousands on statues? shouldn't that go to the animals instead for free S/N for those that can't afford it? So why such a low rate of licenced dogs in CA not even a quarter of them are licenced.
So how are more laws piled on top of laws that have not been enforced going to help?
The one fact alone that Norma likes this law for revenge should tell you everything.
Read USABreeders that may open your eyes to her motives here.

Pitter, even if this bill passes and it becomes mandatory for all animals to be s/n that are not exempt, there will still be a hugh need for the shelters for the many stray animals out there. There are so many people in this world that even with the law in place, that will not comply hence still being an over population on unwanted animals.

I think it is a good bill, however it obviously needs adjustments and will take time. But it is a start. I believe what will happen is that only the most serious of breeders and those that show their animals will in the long run be breeding. It will not stop all unwanted animals but it will in the long run bring the count down alot.

Like Hu clearly stated, what I did is a prime example of why this bill should be in place. I agree with the bill.

Congratulations Chibreeder! welcome

.

Still stuck huh Ratlady? Not too bad for an APRI uhh AKC uhhh APRI uhh AKC pup huh?

**I do not worry about what people say about me, Because they usually do not know what they are talking about.**

A reserve ribbon, did you find it on the ground at the show chibreeder? Or was there just two dogs entered? I have searched the supers of the dog shows and can not find you in any of the results...... When was this show? In your area there are tons of shows, how many points does your dog have now?

I just got home from a wonderful week at the Specialty in Dallas Texas. Am proud to say that most of the chihuahua club of america members do have education, and the vote by your pals was defeated

Hats off to you, Chibreeder!!! Keep going and gaining that experience. One of the few things no one can ever take away from you. Is this your 3rd show now? Go get 'em tiger!

You crack me up Hu rotflol ... CB has hardly "done what I have never accomplished" - unless by that you mean he has actually damaged my breed by placing crappy quality dogs with crappy for profit breeders while I have protected my breed by placing all pet quality dogs s/n in companion homes! Eek BTW, in my first couple of years in the breed I had already shown several times, received several ribbons and points, while CB, after being in the breed quite a bit longer than I, has just now been in his first couple of shows - and tho I did take an extended break from the ring after being hit by two different semis in 3-1/2 years and needing some serious down/recovery time, I have begun attending the shows again and am returning to the ring this year and also have dogs with other show homes who will begin campaigning them soon as well .. so, NO, when it comes to CB I am HARDLY, as you suggest, putting someone down who has accomplished what I have not (or what I HAVE, for that matter), I mean we're talking two class wins with no competition and a reserve when there was only one other dog - or "last place" as CB would call it if were someone else’s dogs … like he says about my Velvet who got a ribbon but who in her and my first shows (she hated showing so I did not force her after that) came in last in the bred by class - with very high quality competition BTW ... coming in first when you are the only dog or second out of two dogs is hardly something to get cocky about, no matter how pretty the ribbons. Roll Eyes

It's just fine and dandy that CB has been in a couple of shows (and thankfully at least some of his dogs are looking better) ... but you darn well know that a few ribbons does not a responsible breeder make. There are responsible ethical breeders that do NOT show and there are millers and unethical breeders that DO show in order to "appear" more legit! I would venture to guess that some of CB's miller buddies on his favorite miller board show as well and for this very reason. There are plenty of people in my breed that show who are FAR from breeders to emulate.

I would HONESTLY love to see CB turn it around; but it’s hard to hold out hope given his track record and behavior even to this day. Personally, I'll be a lot more impressed and inclined to take him seriously when he takes his promotion of APRI off of his website and changes his personal ethics and the way in which he deals with others. Case in point: the fact that he is still parroting false anti-merle rhetoric and labeling anyone with a merle Chi as a BYB-er even tho it is completely in keeping with the COE of the national breed club to breed merle yet certainly not to breed APRI registered Chihuahuas (and some merle breeders are so far ahead of and more accomplished as a breeder than he could even dream of it's not even funny!) - while at the same time he continues to support APRI and the miller forum - well this is simply further evidence this guy is still far from a breeder worthy of respect or whose "expert" opinions are worthwhile. nono

But, hey, that's just me! banana

Oh but MW9 didn't you know CB is "all that" now - why just look at his ribbons and pay no attention to anything else he does or says (or the fact that there was little or no competition! Eek)! rotflol

AS IF millers and unethical breeders don't show to make themselves "appear" more legitimate to the ignorant public! nono Yeppers, it takes a lot more than a few ribbons to make a serious breeder - and CB has a LONG way to go and some important changes to make in order to prove THAT pig has learned how to sing! nutso

Awwww, but isn't it nice of CB to give me his EXPERT advice about my dog going to a show home in Canada? So ... Chibreeder ... just how many dogs have you placed with show homes that have been campaigned to their championship title? [Deafening silence.] Roll Eyes

You are correct Pitter, this bill is all wrong. PETA is behind it and anyone who supports such a group as them should be ashamed. Petco is also standing behind this bill, they are contributors to PETA. Boycott Petco. Petsmart is standing behind AKC
