I live in this community - about 10 miles from the areas where these boys disappeared - an unbelievable story, the entire community is elated, this is truly an unbelievable story, only happens in the movies...three missing children have been recovered under the leadership of our sherrif, Gary Toelke...remember Baby Abby, who was on the Nationals news a few months ago...kidnapped from her home when she was only a few days old. The story is just beginning to unravel, but we are so happy for these families...it's sad that another boy had to be abducted to save the life of another, but the lord works in mysterious ways...Shawn Hornbeck is now a 15 year old young man, and I know when I see these boys out in public in the coming months, I won't be able to help but give them a big hug, as will the rest of our community...unbelievable. The parents of Shawn Horbeck never gave up hope, even though the rest of us knew he was long dead, buried in one of the old mines near his home somewhere...There is a God.

I was in the metro east when baby Abby was taken, how scary! I just had my wee man and that was our first "vacation." Then there was another set of children missing, who were unfortunately murdered. Everyone wonders why I moved away from there!
Anyways, it's so wonderful these children have been reunited with thier parents, and my hopes for them are that they can lead functional lives now. The mental anguish they must have to overcome makes me feel for them all the more. I hope they geld the bastard who took them. There are more things, but surely they'd be moderated.

The sad thing tho is still the fact that this poor kid, Shawn, was abducted for almost five years and God knows what went on.
That man has ruined that kid's life.
I hope that the severest of penalties are enforced. It is a truly sad, sad story. Even tho it is good news for all that they have been found, the fact still remains that this boy will be screwed up for life having been at this maniac's disposal. I surely hope the death penalty is enforced and this man never sees the light of day again.
