Today i went to walmart to pick up stuff for my kids party tomorrow. When I was walking to the front I see a little crate and a groups of people hovering around something, I am guessing they are kittens, I get close and see a baby playpen. I look in and see PUPPIES!!! Black labs!
I hear someone ask how much and the man says they are $300.without papers or $400 with papers. OMG I had a VERY hard time biting my tongue, my heart was pounding and had to get out of there before I said something.
OK so I went in and shopped. Came out and had to ask if they were AKC.This is our conversation: Are they AKC? "Oh well yeah they are but I didn't register the litter that takes a few months to do." Um No it doesn't it takes a few weeks at the most. You can do it online too. I do mine that way. How old are they? "6 weeks" Me

id you knwo ther eis a Ca law that says you cant sell them before 8?? "The vet says they are ready to go and they are tearing the mom up so I have to get rid of them" Do they have any shots? "No they aren't due for shots till another 2 weeks. But the vet says they are ready to go." SO I tell them story about Nova being 5 months a fully vaccinated and she died anyways. He didn't care. his mother acted like she cared but still they were selling them that way. I asked about the pedigree and he said the mother has champion line but he doesn't know much about the father.
I was steaming!!! But what could I do?? I kept telling the mother who was probably in her 60's that they shouldn't leave till 8 weeks. And all they kept saying is the vet told us they were ready to go and they are weaned and they are healthy i had their dew claws removed blah blah blah! People like this really piss me off!!
A girl was buying one from them. No shots and too young. WTF! It will probably be sick and die and she has no way to contact the breeder since there is no contract and she is just buying from the front of a store!!
I wish there was some way to educate the public more! Maybe put ads in the newspapers of what you should look for in a breeder.
