Hi guys,

Just wanted to post a few pictures of my first litter of 2007. They are all tabbies, which I am thrilled about! I would have loved for there to be a pointed in there, but if not all tabbies will do! They are month old now and starting to act like kittens...playing and cleaning.

sorry but I don't know how to put more than one picture in one post so there will be separate posts for each kitten.

What a consistant litter! I can guess you'll be running on the blue tabby male (1st photo) and the blue patch? Q-T-PIES!

Some are here because they hope to make a difference, others like to roll around in the feces. You'll be able to "sniff them out" in no time. -DJ's Doxies,

OH MY GOODNESS! Your killing me here. I have seen cute before, in fact too many times to count. But I have NEVER had my heart literally melt outta my chest before.

That 3rd kitten just melted me. I mean way better then chocolate, drop dead cute guy, or even an award winning adorable baby.

That kitty is blessed with cuteness galore.

Hu,

I have to confess this is the absolute best litter I have ever had. I mean all are so very nice. It's killing me that it's 2 boys and 1 girl! The blue patched is a keeper and the blue tabby is nice as well. But the truth is the brownie may actually be the pick. Which just kills me as I just before this litter was born bought a brown tabby male! If this kitten had been born before hand I would have kept this boy. But right now the plan is I will show all three if they stay together.
By the way I got winners this weekend on the red tabby girl and showed her as a red mackeral tabby. She actually did well against 4 other tabbies of various colors pulling a best of breed and second best of breed as an open. I was very pleased. While I'm still not thinking her a grandable girl but I will take her to Kentucky weekend after next to see how it goes.

Okay, now I'm confused..........

I like the the blue tabby in the 1st picture best. I thought the 2nd photo was a blue patch, but now see it's a brownie, which would be my second pick. So the 3rd photo your female?

We need more pictures! Too cute!

Congrats on your tabby import!

It was a great weekend for me too. Bam Bam finished his championship with another major! WAHOO!

Hu,

Big congrats on Bam Bam! That is wonderful for you and Bam Bam!
Yes, the second picture is the brownie boy, the last picture is the blue patched girl. She is the last pick actually, but she will replace her mother for several reasons, therefore in my eyes a keeper. I know the pictures are not very good....I just grabbed them up that day and snapped them as a friend was bugging the heck out of me to get her some pictures. I find it really hard to get good pictures until they are old enough to start following a tickler with their eyes. I have been so worried about these guys as mom didn't really have enough milk to sustain them and I have had to supplement them from day one. So for over a month I haven't slept longer than 4 hours at a time! LOL! So I'm very proud of them. But yes, new pictures will be forthcoming.

Hey winnie, its very simple. Register yourself to a free hosting image site where you can upload photo easily and you will be able to post your kittens’ photos.

I am fond of kittens but I don’t have any because my mum doesn’t like it, so I prefer to look pictures of different kitten.

PugMom, your kittens are really cute. I of course don't know the first thing about raising cats for show, but I can tell a cute one when I see it!

Congrats!

PM, congrats on the recent wins! I have a friend who now also breeds/shows Chihuahuas but who used to show Ragdolls (my goodness she has some gorgeous cats - but these cats are like FIVE times the size of my Chihuahuas!) and she has regaled me with some interesting cat show stories! browman

Is there a written standard for these cats somewhere on the internet? I love studying stuff like that!

For example, what makes you choose the one you did? I mean I can tell that is a nice group of babies, and they are all adorable, just like a well bred litter of puppies are all adorable, BUT what are the subtle differences in your pick kitty, if you dont' mind my asking?

Personally, I love anything blue, so I am drawn to blues always, but they are all just as beautiful as they can be, and I love the innocent little faces - although any of us who have actually raised kittens know that they can be anything but innocent! LOL, I remember one time a looooooong time ago I had a litter of kittens (just your basic domestic shorthairs) and I got home from work to find one of them up ON TOP OF THE VALANCE on the living room window - we are talking 7 feet in the air! I could NOT believe it! That was my first, but surely not my last, lesson in just how determined a little kitten could be! rotflol

I'm sure you have some stories too, eh, PM? Wink

Ratlady,

Yes, you can find the written standard for all purebred cats on the cfa website. The link is:
http://www.cfa.org/index.html
Basically the reason I chose the blue patched girl to keep is that she meets all the written standard and she is a girl, which is what I need. I am actually boy heavy right now so keeping another whole male is out of the question. If you look at the pictures, I'm gonna try and get new ones today by the way, you can see that she has a nice round head, low set ears, nice rolled domed, short body, short tail, and extremely nice coat factor. The blue tabby boy, as Hu mentioned, is probably the pick with the wider set and larger eyes....but he has a darker coat and less of it. The brown tabby has wonderful eyes, huge and very very round, but right now his ears are on top of his head. So if I could just play Mr. Potato Head with these three I would probably have a Regional winning kitten! LOL! You know take the body and coat and ear set of the patched girl, take the eyes of the browne tabby boy, take the space between the eyes of the blue tabby boy...and voila! instant RW!

Anyone who is specializing in tabbies and qualifies for either of these males is indeed blessed.
