Hi all, My cat Holly wonderful! She is so friendly, and loving! But she hasn't always been this way. My dad adopted her a few years ago, and he did everything he could for her, but it just wasn't enough. She must have had a hard life before the adoption, and to top it off, the other cat in the house was very mean to her. She was very thin because the other cat wouldn't let her eat, and she spent all of her time under the couch. My dad didn't know what to do. So, I took her with me when I got my own apartment, thinking that it would be a better place for her. And... it worked! It took her a while to adjust, but she is doing great! She comes out all the time, she'll sit on my lap, and she plays with me! I love that she is happy. However, as a 20 year old girl who lives on her own, I don't have much money. That being said, where I can provide food for her to eat, toys to play with, and all that a cat needs to survive, I can't get her to a vet to have a routine check up. Everywhere I check is just way to out of my price range. Does anyone have any advice for cheap, but good, pet healthcare? Thanks!

Contact your local animal shelter or a vet's office. They might be able to give you the name to a clinic that does vet care for low-income petowners.

Damn good Guitarist-loving girl!!

Ask your Dad where he originally adopted the cat. Many refuge leagues and shelters offer coupons or discount vouchers for local veterinarians (for spay/neuter, healthcare, etc.). Also, you may be able to obtain help with vet bills at one or more of these:
