This may gross a few people out but I have had dogs before that in the summer they get really nasty rashes under the armpits. Just no air getting under those folds and it is damp and a real host for a rash. I put monistat on them in that area and it works like a charm. The area gets prone to fungi and that can cause rashes ...the monistat works everytime.

You also can use Witch Hazel and Cornstrach for the treatment of hotspots. Clean the area of the hotspot and dry apply the Witch Hazel and apply the Cornstrach. Raw Honey is also a great heeling solution.

I'm a firm believer in Gold Bond products. I wish I had bought stock in them years ago. Helps with grass itch and a multitude of nondescript ailments on our dogs and cats. I think it has zinc oxcide in it, so be careful not to get it in the eyes.
Some are here because they hope to make a difference, others like to roll around in the feces. You'll be able to "sniff them out" in no time. -DJ's Doxies,
