I have a Norweigian Beagle and she is shedding to the point that she is balding on the front joints of her back legs. The rest of her body has a full glossy coat. I live in Salem VA and the weather has been 18 and then 65 over the last few weeks. Any thoughts. She is a 5 y/o heathly active dog.
Well if you picture a beagle with long legs and a bit larger. They have some what of a prance when they walk. Extremely calm and very loving.
Her skin is not red or does she scratch often.
She just shed's LIKE CRAZY. She spends most of her time inside. Loves the coach and bed. SHE IS NOT ALLOWED on them but sneeks on them once in awhile. She has her own bed. Soft .. I bathe her twice a month. But she sheds from nose to tail. The Knee joint of her back legs are the only place they are thin. Not bald, just thin.
