Does your computer ever get a brain fart?
Don't laugh too hard now, I'm serious.
It is going along fine and then all of a sudden, it just decides to shut down on me.
It restarts itself too.
Maybe it's been invaded by an alien life force or something??? I surely don't know.
All I can think of to call it is a brain fart.

Also, when I'm on the talk forum too and I go to post, then it says microsoft error and closes down the talk forum. The internet still works, but I have to open the talk forum back up again. Strange. Another type of brain fart?
Any ideas anybody?

When mine did that they told me to go in and clear my temporary files. That worked. I also defragged it. and then did the disk clean-up. The directions are all on this Board - so look for threads that I started.

Go to the start button, and go to windows update. I suspect errors from not updated/patched system.

If the computer is shutting down on you and restarting then there is a problem with the Windows System. Deleting temp files and Cookies and what not Defrag the HD it will not go away. there is a part in your computer Control Panel and look for Administrative/Event Viewer and it will tell you in one of the 3 items you see that there is a problem. Click on the link it will take you to help and show you what the problem is. Or your HD headers are slowly dyeing and that's an indecation. Any more help please email me at shane@computercpr.biz.

What are these please? Maybe that is what happened to my pc.

Actually, I've been here twice and those are my two posts. Nice to meet ya Susie. Maybe I should go and register as Susan instead--this might be confusing. I haven't read all the stuff about registering yet, but if you see me as Susan (unless there is a Susan also already????), then it will be me.
