I admit it everyone, I am computer illiterate. I know how to use my e-mail, surf the web, and use the photo shop, just enough to get by. I need to take a beginners computer course. We just purchased a palm pc and a digital camera recorder. We plan to hook both of them up to the computer and really have some fun. Sending home movies across.....sending e-mail movie clips, downloading onto our palm...... We just haven't had the time to use our new toys yet! Anyone else out therehave a digital movie camera recorder or a palm pc, would care to share what they have learned? Our new camera has a memory stick which is compatible with our palm pc. That was the one thing I made sure of when I made the purchase. I am very excited about the USB Sreaming capability, now if I can just figure out how to use it! LOL!!
I have a question! How do you cut and paste?! I have been wanting to ask that to all of you for quite a long time. So now I will! Computer classes have already started, so now I am going to have to wait til January.

Thanks Geek, That is what I have USB 2.0, we just purchased a Dell computer in March. I just checked the stats on our computer and it said 2.0, so I guess I'm current so far.......of course that could change at any second!
I don't know how my brother did this.........he took his memory stick from his digital movie camera recorder and inserted it into my memory card slot of my palm computer. Then he loaded some pictures from his memory stick into my palm.
The problem is he couldn't remember how he did it, he was just playing around and didn't pay any attention. He tried later and couldn't remember how to. I've spent all night trying to figure out how to view what is on my memory stick, on my palm. Any one follow what I am saying?
In our wonderful new century, they give you a CD to download in your computer so you have the how to book online. To save the trees I guess. LOL!! I've read it, and have no idea how my brother even got a picture loaded as he didn't have it connected to a computer. The only thing in the palm was the battery and he still managed to load some pictures from his memory stick onto my palm.
If there is anyone out there who knows about these palms please respond! I'm going to go bonkers trying to figure this thing out!
To copy: Left clik on mouse (hold down) and scroll over selection (part you want to copy)- it will highlight in blue. When you get all you want, release the clik. Then right clik and scroll down and clik copy
Then go to where you want to insert the text (selection) and left clik once (see the little line) then right clik and scroll down and clik paste.
If you just want to cut, left clik mouse and hold down until you get the selection (will highlight in blue) and then release and right clik and clik cut.
I hope this helps. If it doesn't make sense, let me know. I'm not the best at writing instructions. I had to pracice a bit to get it figured out. hahaha!! But it's way easier than having to retype and you know I'll take a shortcut anytime I can on the pc.

Anyone out there recently purchased a pda? ( palm computer) I am going nuts trying to learn everything about this little wonder! I sure would love to find someone who has some experience with pda's.
Major accomplishments today for me with my pda! I finally figured out how to download from my computer to my pda. I was literally jumping for joy, well almost. In fact I have my pda so full I have to start deleting files already. I can view my pictures and even digital movies on the pda. ( And e-mail too!) I'm staying up late tonight to master sending digital movies via e-mail. I don't mean to toot my horn, or blow my trumpet, but I feel so happy that I am getting the hang of this little pda. They are great! I hope everyone gets one for Christmas. Maybe I'll have it mastered by then, not! It's absolutely amazing, the technology out there. What an exciting time to be alive.
