RR, remember that at one time, you could post "anonymous" letters. The police got all kinds of wacko notes after Jack the Ripper was active. But now, you can trace the origin of a letter by the stamp code and fingerprints, etc.etc.
As for the Internet, it's a breeding ground for trolls and cowards, just like ponds breed scum and other slimy things.
It's anonymity allows those with nothing to contribute, to pretend that they know everything, and to attack others with profanity and stupid comments that mean something only in their little pea brains.
The funny part is, you don't need to meet these people face to face, to know they are lacking a lot of things like social skills, and some degree of intelligence. It shows in what they type. Which is what "ignore" features are for.
It's the only life some of these weirdos have, attacking others with inane remarks and insults, and when that fails, using obscenities to make a point that nobody understands but them.
