READ IMMEDIATELY AND PASS ON TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW !
Someone is sending out a very cute screensaver of the Budweiser Frogs.
If you download it, you will lose everything! Your hard drive will crash and someone from the Internet will get your screen name and password!
DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!
It just went into circulation yesterday.
Please distribute this message. This is a new, very malicious virus and not many people know about it. This information was announced yesterday morning from Microsoft.. Please share it with everyone that might access the Internet.
Once again, Pass This Along To EVERYONE in your address book so that this may be stopped. AOL has said that this is a very dangerous virus and that there is NO remedy for it at this time.
This is VERY important. If you receive a screen saver from a friend or anyone you may not know with the Budweiser Frogs in it, DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT OR OPEN THE FILE!
Let's keep our email safe for everyone.

This virus alert is old- very old - like from 5 or 6 years ago- and it was probably a hoax to begin ith.
Well bud, I wouldn't want to take any chances with my computer, would you?
I think this person was trying to help out here, not pull a fast one. They sounded sincere in their posts over in open discussion. It's too bad the world is so full of kooks these days that we don't know who to trust.
I get email virus warnings all the time and I have Norton on my pc, but even some things can get past Norton. Just to be safe I don't open any emails, I just read thru the face part of them. I ask everyone not to send me attachments, but to open them and copy them and then send them--that way I don't have to worry about a virus in an attachment. I might not be totally protected even then, but that's all I know to do.
And I just hate those screensaver emails anyway and block and delete every one of those I get, so if I got this one, I'd never even know it, most likely. lol

okay thanks, bud. Perhaps the person who posted the virus notice is unaware that it was a hoax? They could even be new to the internet, possibly. When I first started using the internet, I got all kinds of stuff in the emails. Now I know better, but it took a couple of weeks to catch on to all the nonsense. Anyway, the link is appreciated. At least now they will know it's bogus.

I do download stuff, but I scan it with my virus detecting software first. I love those free downloads, but I don't care much for the screensavers either. I usually make my own screensavers from my favorite pictures.
I do take virus warnings seriously and a lot of the time they turn out to be bogus, but you can't be too careful these days.
