Our President:

The man who admitted to having a drinking problem in younger years, and whose happy-go-lucky lifestyle led him to mediocre grades in college and an ill-fated oil venture. Who mangled syntax, and whose speaking missteps became known as "Bushisms."

He came within a hair's breadth of losing the election in November 2000. While votes were counted and re-counted, Bush quietly but confidently waited at his ranch.

Make no mistake, his orders were carried out, but he stayed in the background, faithful and confident.

Bush named Jesus Christ as Lord of his life on public TV. Not an oblique reference to being "born-again" or having a "life change."

He actually said the un-politically-correct-like phrase, "Jesus Christ"!

On September 11, he was thrust into a position only known by Roosevelt, Churchill, Lincoln, and Washington. The weight of the world was on his shoulders, and the responsibility of a generation was on his soul.

So President George W. Bush walked to his seat at the front of the National Cathedral just three days after two of the most impressive symbols of American capitalism and prosperity virtually evaporated.

When the history of this time is written, it will be acknowledged by friend and foe alike that President George W Bush came of age in that cathedral and lifted a nation off its knees. In what was one of the most impressive exhibitions of self-control in presidential history, President George W. Bush was able to deliver his remarks without losing his resolve, focus, or confidence.

God's hand, which guided him through that sliver-thin election, now rested fully on him. As he walked back to his seat, the camera angle was appropriate. He was virtually alone in the scene, alone in that massive place of God; just him and the Lord.

Back at his seat, George H. W. Bush reached over and took his son's hand. In that gesture his father seemed to say, "I wish I could do this for you, son, but I can't. You have to do this on your own." Pres George W. Bush squeezed back and gave him a look of peace that said, "I don't have to do it alone, Dad. I've got help."

What a blessing to have a professing Christian as President. Please take a moment after you read this to pray for him. He truly does have the weight of the world on his shoulders. Pray that God will sustain him and give him wisdom and discernment in his decisions.

Pray for his protection and that of his family. After you have prayed, send this to everyone on your e-mail list. Our President needs Christians around the world to be praying for him.

As this makes the e-mail rounds, eventually there could literally be people praying for him 24/7.

PS.........And thank the Lord for a First Lady who is a Christian!

Really? I shudder to think what this 'religious' man will do to our freedoms. Rose you are free to believe in your religion even if you don't even have correct understanding of your own religion, too bad your pastor who preaches to you doesn't either. but you dont' have the brainpower to research things on your own. how sad. Sucks to be you.

He has NO RIGHT to impose his religious beliefs on me. ie abortion, same sex marriage, stem cell research. his opinions on the subject, while he is allowed his own opinions, he is not allowed to subject everyone else to his beliefs. I believe in FREEDOM ,what this country was found on. It was to get away from religious tyranny. It is not your right to impose your religious beliefs on others and that is what that would mean.

So Rose, are you dancing a jig?

Guess who Bush really is? He's the 666 man. Watch and see! Read revelations. He will put us into trouble and miraculously pull us out of it. The end is near, now go and dance some more, my dear. Your worst nightmare is about to come true!

BAAHHAHHHHAHHHAAA!! You're an idiot. YOU try reading Revelation. By the way---you think you know it so well--it does NOT end in the letter 's'. Your little synopsis here is not even remotely close to how it's going to end. Get a clue before you post. Dip.

Well, you know Carla I don't personally believe that Bush "lied". Not intentionally anyway. I think he trusted and believed the wrong advisors. I believe his advisors LIED. I think his mistake was believing them which is only human. I agree he made some very bad decisions when it came to Iraq, the war, and Hussein, but I think his intentions were genuine. As President, of course he's going to be the fall guy. But I think he was an innocent victim of lots of bad advice from people he trusted.

I disagree. He wanted to believe it and would ONLY believe the people that told him what he wanted to hear. Colin Powell disagreed with him and he was right btw, and he stopped listening to him. There was an interesting editorial I read a couple of weeks ago and it was saying that bush refused to listen to all sides, only the side he wanted to hear and had predetermined.

It's ironic that the very person who preaches about forming your own opinions, is the same person who keeps spouting all of the lies that she reads with your daily cup of disgust from the same liberal rag on this forum.

You're not forming an opinion, Carla. You're repeating what your little media gods in the hick town you live in want you to believe. Let's hear something different from you instead of the same thing over and over again. The media's lies didn't work on everyone, because WE form our own opinions, we don't believe the Dan Rathers of the world.

Seems you are the one believing the propoganda and lies by the bushies. Hook, line and sinker.
I can not comprehend how anyone can like a president that only is concerned about reducing taxes for his rich buddies thus making us have the biggest deficit in history. Iraq was no threat. They had no wmd. None. It's been proven. BTW, I surely do have a mind of my own and have done my research. It is you that is believeing the propoganda by the bushies.

It's good to know we won't be paying for the 5 plus homes that John Kerry and his wife have. Maintenance, security, etc. That could have been very expensive!

Now, now, Carla, anyone who's having an INTELLEGENT political conversation, should have begun this comment about John HEINZ with the words, "I believe". Let's face it---it isn't fact, and you'll never really find out now, will you?

Funny you should say this when John HEINZ, himself admitted that he would have voted for Bush to invade---that is if he would have taken the time to vote, since his record in the Senate is lowest than all of his collegues.

Read next week's Newsweek---it'll be an eye-opener about Mr. Heinz.
