Just bumping this up to the top. I guess we don't have many who venture over to the religious threads. They are all too busy following the Carla threads over on the Breeders Corner, lol!
Hope everyone to vote. I'd just like to see how many Bibles actually get read. I have a funny feeling that most are on a shelf or in a box........that is so sad.

Does anyone have any very old family Bibles that have been preserved and handed down over the years? We have one in our family that is a few hundred years old!
I have a Korean Bible that I cant read, YET ( Im going to learn how to speak and read korean soon, it was handed down from my mother. ( I know its not old lol ) I also have a Catholic Bible that I used to read daily but stopped because yes I know this sounds horrible but I have found better things to do....
I'd like to be able to say I read from the Bible everynight, but that isn't always the case. I try to, and I'll do good for a few weeks and then I'll miss a day and it turns into several. Then I try to catch up in one night to where I estimate I would have been, had I read every night. That doesn't work. Lol. I can't read for more than a half hour or my mind will wander. Then I don't remember what I've read and have to start over, lol.
I do know that I feel better about life and have a good perspective on several things that might be going on in my life, when I read from the Bible regularly. I have some scriptures written in Polish, and I'd like to learn that language someday.

I've challenged myself to read the Bible completely, from beginning to end........no skipping around, lol! I am going to see how far I have read come New Years Day 2005.
