The purpose of life is to live like Christ. What a huge undertaking! By living like Christ, we spread the Word to others. I wish I were better at it.......

Really? Well then let me tell me what you could do if you mean that. You could apologize to the board, to the Wolfe family, and to my family for your false acusations. What you have done, goes against all that Christ taught while he was on this earth.

Rose, let me read something to you: "For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open." Luke 8:17 NIV THIS IS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF THE WORLD IS A SMALL PLACE - IF YOU ARE A PUPPY MILLER IT WILL BE FOUND OUT. "If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you, you have won your brother over. But if he wil not listen, take one or two others along, so that every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector." Matthew 18:15 NIV HOW MANY TIMES HAS ROSE BEEN TOLD ABOUT HER BREEDING PRACTICES BY HOW MANY PEOPLE? And finally, "Do not throw your pearls to pigs." Matthew 7:6 I DON'T THINK I HAVE TO EXPLAIN THIS ONE.

To help others when we can and to do the right things in life. To learn lessons and not repeat our mistakes.
Is this a religious question only?
To me, yes it is. I believe we are all children of God. He has sent us here, and he has sent his son Jesus Christ to teach us the gospel. This is just a probationary state we are in now. The test is to see if we will follow the teachings of Christ and keep the commandments which God has given us.

Okay Rose, I'll buy that. But what about the non-believers, the ones who never believe? Are they doomed forever or do they get a second chance at all?
Sally, No all are not doomed. We have a loving Father in Heaven who has taken many considerations into account.
All those who would have accepted the gospel in this life, had they been taught the gospel, will have an opportunity to accept or reject the gospel in the spirit world.
This will include those who lived millions of years before Christ, and never knew of Christ or his gospel.

Rose I was told and I do not know if I believe this or not but this was told to me .
when Jesus died he went to hell and he ask the ones in hell do you accept me as your Lord and Saviour < sp if they said yes then they where not doomed but if they did not then you know what happen...As I said I do not know if this is truth or just a story...But I do believe that man can live for 100 years and not once go to church. but with his last breath ask Jesus to come in his life and that he believed Jesus had died for his sins & was the Saviour < sp... I believe he was saved that moment

Linda, When Jesus was crucified, from the time of his death to the three days it took for him to be resurrected, he visited those who were in spirit prison. There he taught them the gospel. There is a scripture in the Bible that refers to that. Not in great detail, but lets us know that Christ had other sheep that he must go to.
I believe the Spirit World is a place of learning. There, while we wait for our loved ones to join us, we will learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ, or expand on what we already know from our time here on earth.
As far as one confessing that they believe in Jesus Christ on their death bed, that will not get them into the Kingdom of God. It's a start, but they will have thousands or millions of years in the spirit world to learn more.
Those who think they can just wait, or procrastinate learning and following the gospel of Christ until they are old, are in for a big surprise. It is not going to be that simple.
Not a single one of us knows how many days we have on the earth. Mosts of us will leave this earth when we least expect it. What a surprise there will be in store for those who have procrastinated and wasted their probationary time here on earth.
Our time on earth is just a step on the ladder of progression. The spirit world is another step. "Stepping Stones To God." Rose

Rose I want to let you know your belief are not the same as mine I do not believe as soon as you die you go infront of God and be judge! I believ that all man kind are judge the same time. I don't believe in pergatory < sp. I also wanna say I do believe is you had no knowledge about Jesus until you last day and you truely believed that Jesus was the savior < sp no matter how old you are if you confess with you mouth you can and will be save
quote:Originally posted by Sally: So is the spirit world between here and Heaven and is it only for those who don't believe or for everyone?
That is what I believe. The Spirit world is where we go from here, when we pass on. Not to be judged, but to learn about the gospel if we did not learn the gospel in this life.
The resurrection will come much later, and judgement day too.
It is my knowledge and belief that murderers and wicked, evil people will not be in the same part of the spirit world, as others. But they too will have the opportunity to learn the gospel of Christ, and either accept or reject it.

But, I thought that you are Catholic. Maybe I am mistaken. Like I said I am not being difficult. But purgatory is a Roman Catholic belief.
