Can somebody give me the short, condensed version of the book of Job?
I'm not very bible learned here.

I'll leave this to someone else--I'm not real good at explaining things. Sorry.

The devil was conversing with God one day. He was seeking someone whom "to devour". Satan said to God that Job wasn't as devout as God thought he was--basically. But God allowed Satan to do whatever he wanted to "test" Job's faithfulness to God--except kill him. So during the time to follow Job lost all he owned, his friends wondered what he had done to "deserve this--what sin he had committed--why he was being punished--", and his wife told him to curse God and die rather than endure what he was going through. God spoke to Job when Job---who did not sin in all this, by the way-----was asking God why this was allowed. God told Job that Job wasn't around when the world was created. God told Job that basically, God knew what he was doing in all this. God was saying that He was in control from the beginning and to the end of time. HIS plan and grace are sufficent, especially when we are tempted and tested. Read Job! It's pretty interesting reading!!

My husband dubbed me evilmommy years ago. I raised Shetland Sheepdogs then. My husband used to delight in letting some of the dogs in on Saturday ams to surprise me awake!! I knocked one of the dogs off the bed, and my husband called me 'evilmommy". Now you know and wished you hadn't asked!!!! LOL
