While taking my daily walk I use that time to meditate and even pray to Heavenly Father. I was counting all my blessings as I walked and found I have far more blessings than worries! I'm thankful to God for being born here in the USA. I'm thankful for my many freedoms. I'm thankful for parents who taught me from the time I was a babe, that I was not only their daughter, but a daughter of God. I'm thankful for the knowledge that my Father in Heaven loves me and is very aware of my needs, even before I petition Him in prayer. Oh I have so much to be thankful for!

And I'm thankful I don't know you in real life. Jeez, what torture that would be.

I'm not really an atheist, but I don't follow a real religion, so it's easier to say I'm an atheist. I kinda made my own up. Lol. It's not a real religion, it's just what I believe. But I do have a song for rose. I don't have the end of the song right yet, but I'll get it to her, and the other pushy-shovey christians before long. No bad words, it's punk, it's called My Right by Screeching Weasel. It's a punk band, and they're an older band, but that song works so perfectly for these pushy people.

StarWhisper, the difference between you, DC and the other people, is that you and DC don't judge people based on religion. You haven't bashed me, and never have either of you shoved yourselves upon me. And that deserves much respect. Rose on the other hand, well, she's another story all together.

I don't really seek spiritual fulfillment, it's just what I personally believe. It gives hope to all the animals in the world, from the house fly that only lives 4 days, to the tortise that lives well over 100 years.

We talk about religion a lot in History, I mainly bring it up because we have to learn about christianity. My teacher's 12 year old daughter says that she came back to be born as herself so that she could work out her struggles with her parents from her other life.

Then you are an agnostic.

Christian's have at least 4 threads. They didn't say no atheists. This one I made pretty much so that people could come on and not be bashed and spit on by the christians.

Yeah, I especially hate when they say 'YOU'RE WRONG!' and don't understand why I ignore them or get mad at them.

Unfortunately one can't "own" threads here.
Best thing you can do is to learn how to deal with people of different faiths and beliefs. People will believe what they want to believe and you can't change that, nor should you condemn them for their beliefs. If Rose upsets you, don't read her posts and don't reply, just scroll on by.

I wish we didn't have so many religion, or "unreligion" threads on here, but since this is the open forum and all goes, my vote is that everyone should be able to create any thread they like, but not disclude any particular groups of people. You will find that you can learn a lot in debates with people who can give a different perspective. Of course there will be tensions as well, but that is a part of life.

But I made this thread because if I want christians' opinion, I just go to christian thread. But I don't really want them here scaring any other religion away. I want other topics that aren't over run by the rude comments of christians to other religions. And I don't want to hear about 'god'. That to me is like someone saying, 'Santa Claus is going to get you!' It's just ridiculous to me. I respect people for their religion, but when they overstep my boundries, then no way in heck!

I'm pretty open minded about most things. The important thing to remember is that it goes both ways. If you want the freedom to express yourself... then you must also give that same freedom to others.
