TT,
I have a book that deals exclusively vs. by verse on Revalation. Would you like a copy of it? Theres no charge for it. I could mail you a copy. I will even send it to a po box if you're scared to give me your addy. We send people all the time literature so its no big deal at all. i would be happy too. It has references and pics (my favorite, lol).
Lmk, ok.
I think you would find it very intersting and easy to understand with a little application.

I'd be interested in that book Christina....

from what i've read, the book of revelations was written in "code" for the times...it should not be taken literally...kinda like the tarot cards...

The bible must fullfill itself. Why wasn't Revelations written in a language that could be deciphered?

I believe that the book of Revelation becomes clear when we know what the prophets have stated back in the O.T. Scriptures.

I'm sure when it was revealed to John, that he explained it to the best of his ability. I can't imagine seeing the things that he saw, and I KNOW what an airplane looks like. LOL He didn't, and he saw so much more.

Personally, when it comes to the end of the year for me to read it (I do "year thru the bible" every year) I love it!

It speaks of Messages to the churches, to the world of things to come, the 144,000 newly converted Jews, the rise of the anti-christ, famine, the spoils of war, martyrs, and so much more. It's better than any movie could be for me. Of course I've always preferred reading over watching a show anytime.

I dont mind sending it to you at all. Just PM where u want me to send it.
But revalation is to be taken seriously by all means. It fortells the future for us. Revalation means the "end". Its hard to understand but for someone to think all parts of the bible our literal except for Revalation is not right. God didnt waste his time to write a fiction novel for us, he is forewarning us of things to come. Yes, Rev. is hard to understand indeed!!!!
We dont believe in the tarot cards. Nor do we particpate in anything of that source. I think its Deut. 18: 10-12 but it says that anyone who practices such things will not inherit God's kingdom. So we stay away from sorcers, omens, witch craft, fortunetellers, palm readers ect...
Divination seeks to disclose hidden knowledge or to fortell events, not as a result of research, but by the interpretation of omens or by the help of supernatural powers. Jehovah God prohibited such pratices among his servants. Why? All these practices are an invation to communication w/or possesion by unclean spirits, or demons. Engaging in such things would be gross unfaithfullness toward Jehovah God. Also no one who loves righteousness would consult such a source of information whether with serious intent or as a game.

May I ask to communicate with who???
The dead? You cant. Eccl 9:5, the dead are conscious of nothing at all.
Ps 146:4 his thoughts perish the day he dies.
John 11: 11-14 Lazarus (jesus's BEST friend) had died. Jesus resurected him, not once did he speak of anything while he was dead. Now that Js was his b-friend you would think he would have said, hey I saw so and so or we were doing this and that, but never once.
Ezek. 18:4 The soul itself will die.
Eccl. 9:6 Their love, hate and jealousy have perished. (speaking of the dead)
Who wants us to go on beleiving that the dead do not die? Satan cause he told Eve she would not die after God told her that ANYONE eating from that tree would die. And guess what?? They (Adam and Eve) did die.
So GW, there is all kinds of scrips that help us learn the condition of the dead. Even the one I told you about earlier at Duet. 18:10-12 DO NOT practice such things. Its detestable to God. Its plain and simple. No if's and's or but's. Since the bible says you CANT communicate with the dead then just who are you communicating with?? Think about it and let me know what your thoughts are.

chris1 I would LOVE a copy of that book if you have another? Revalation has always scared me so I tend to avoid it. My favorites are letters to the church from Paul (which 2/3rds of the NT are written by) But I would love to understand Revalation better. I could pay you for your trouble. It would really help a struggling Christian.

lmao not the dead...the tarot cards really have nothing to do with the dead, or with telling the future....they were used to communicate with other CHRISTIANS at the time, to avoid persecution...eh, lemme look in my book, i'll find more on it...

I always thought the same thing that chris1 thought. If tarot cards were used "at that time" (I'm assuming by 'that time' you mean when they first developed them) to communicate with other Christians. Why are they used today, when we have freedom of commnication?

Main Entry: tar·ot
Pronunciation: 'tar-(")O
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle French, from Italian tarocchi (plural)
Date: circa 1623
: any of a set of usually 78 playing cards including 22 pictorial cards used for fortune-telling; also : the 22 pictorial cards serving as trumps in tarok

So Tarot is used for fortune-telling. Which is condemened by God in Deu. 18: 10-12

yeah, and i'm sure you used a christian bible to look up that definition....

tarot cards were condemned by the church, and because they didn't understand them, declared them occult....it kinda caught on...and all playing cards, not just tarot, have been used for divination....so is your standard deck of cards also evil? i don't think so...

My bible didnt say that. I did a search for dictionary and then put the word "tarrot" in it and thats what I copied and pasted from it.
hope that helps so you wont be so mad at me.

lol, sry, didn't mean bible, i meant christian dictionary...webster was a very prominent christian of his time....besides the point, tarot cards TODAY are used for divination, but back in the time right after Jesus, they weren't...the church actually commended them and ALL playing cards because of gambling...
