Lol. My biology teacher told me a story today about when he was in the military. He had to do the check up things to make sure everyone was in the right building or something, and he walked into the general's tent or something, and he was wearing a cloak and his room was painted all red and he had a single alter in the middle of the room and nothing else. The guy was a satanist. I thought it was kinda funny, but the one thing I didn't like was that the teacher said that they went out on a mission or something, and the guy had a bag of about 12 dead cats. They said they couldn't do anything because they weren't really on their property. Besides the dead cats, I found it kinda humerous, not the religion, but the way the teacher told it and how terrified everyone was. Lol. I think it's funny. I haven't a problem with satanists, because they don't force it upon you, and I don't fear them, because their little requests to 'satan' are directed to thin air in my opinion.

Show me where I have bashed you or shoved my religion or beliefs upon you. You have also accused Rayna of doing the same. So go searching through the archives and show where we have done that. You can't, can you?

Shove: To push roughly

Rose, people often percieve someone as being that way---shoving their religion down their throats. It's not actually in a literal sense. This stems from a person being constantly chastised about going to church and being christian, etc....it's more of a sarcasm and it feels that way to the person on the receiving end, though it is only implied by the messenger. That person who says that one shoves religion down their throat feels exactly that way because they are sick of hearing it (and not necessarily from you), they have heard it so much, regardless of their age and the messenger (you) will get the backlash from it.
In all actuallity and this hits home, the person feels a tinge of guilt for some reason and truly feels like she/he is being attacked. I hope this makes it a bit clearer. I am not speaking for Kerack, just speaking from my own personal experience. Only Kerack can tell you why it bothers her so much.
The best solution is to not try to fix everyone. Some of us are just different and we all have to accept that and live with it and in the meantime, try our best to get along. Maybe each of us can refrain from saying a person isn't important or discredited or not real and just give them the respect that they do have their own opinion as we have ours. Hurting others be it by name calling, rudeness, or otherwise does nothing but insure that we are surely hurting ourselves inside.
We each have to live our own life and some people may have decided what they choose to believe, some of us very early in life. We have to let anyone/everyone believe what they want.
There is only truth and each person's truth is different. The same way if you tell a story, and we both were there, mine will still be different than yours. Not untruths, just different.
I am glad to see there is a difference between athiest and agnostic, which I didn't know about before. I have learned something here today and perhaps others have too.

I suppose that song would work for Rose the same way it works for you, Kerack. You are also being narrowminded in your beliefs or lack of. Not bashing you, just stating a fact. We can all live by that song and no one should go around telling us how to live. But it isn't only Rose, there's a few others and now a new one calling herself FYI. Go and read what she writes, if you want, and you will see another sort of religious person who doesn't agree with Rose, but whom some others disagree with as well.
It's the same as someone telling you not to post on their threads, when you tell Rose not to bring God on here. It's human nature to do the opposite of what anyone advises.
We should all open up our minds a little more on this board and not be so harsh against others. Criticism only hurts the one getting criticized. So often we criticize because we fail to see that in ourselves.
Being defensive--and that goes for anyone--only serves to add more tension and turmoil within ourselves.
I respect how you feel/believe Kerack and I also respect how Rose feels/believes and the same with the rest of the members and non members on this board who have shared their beliefs.

I don't believe I said that FYI bashed anyone. I said she disagrees with Rose's beliefs. Not that either of them are right or wrong. Perhaps I didn't work it exactly right, but that is what I meant.
FYI plainly told Sarah how to live yesterday, go back and read the thread. To me, that is no different than Rose telling someone how to live or anyone else on here telling someone how to live or how not to.
I don't know Sarah, but she seemed quite naive about the Bible and it's teachings and therefore could be easily influenced. I would have said the same thing if Rose had been the influencing factor. Please don't pick me apart. That is not why I posted.

Okay, granted, I may have misconstrued your message. It sounded as if you were calling FYI saying she is "pushing" her beliefs. She is not. She is sharing a different perspective for those people who may have been "trained" to think like Rose, but for whatever reason it doesn't seem right to them. I see it as giving other options.

Sara asked specific questions of FYI, and FYI answered them. She did not try to tell Sarah how she should live her life. The difference with Rose and FYI is that Sarah specifically asked for FYI's advice. Rose gives it not only when she isn't asked, but also when she is explicity NOT asked to do it.

Rose is telling an untruth to say she has never "shoved her opinions" on anyone. Read tru many of the threads on this forum, and the one on the breeder's corner about the pic of Jesus Christ. She was downright pushy and made inuendos that those who didn't believe like her would "go to hell"...not in those exact words, but you get my drift. Who nominated her the judge and jury?
