It is not by the amount that giving is productive of reward but rather by the generous impulse behind it.
Therefore even so little as a handful of rice flour given with a pure heart becomes something that will bring great reward.

It is good to control your words and thoughts. The seeker who is in control feels free and joyful. Listen to that speaker who guards his tongue and speaks wisely. Such a one is humble and does not exalt himself.

Try to be reasonable in the way you grow, and don't ever think it is too late. It is never too late. Even if you are going to die tomorrow, keep yourself straight and clear and be a happy human being today. If you keep your situation happy day by day, you will eventually reach the greatest happiness of enlightenment.

Forgot to tell you: one of our earlier family sailboats, a Herreshoff cat, was named "Wu Wei" by Dad years ago. He thought it was a hoot - naming a sailboat after the art on 'non-doing.' Of course, some of the folks around here thought he'd spelled "Woo wee" wrong. LOL
