Rose, I truly love the Lord, and really can appreciate your love for him as well. I also appreciate the fact that you are touting this in its own thread on the open forum vs the breeder's corner that should be "bash free", and that is tough when religion is introduced.

And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house, and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
Timothy Chapter 6 verse 10-11
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
Timothy Chapter 6 verse 7
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
I'd like to know what your opinion is of the 'new translations' of the Bible that seem to not only moderize the words but totally change the meaning? I can't say I like them at all - prefer King James or Revised Standard. I notice your quotes are from the older versions. I don't want to start an argument. I just think there is a fundamental difference between: "Thou shall not kill." and 'You shouldn't cause harm to anyone." What do you think?

Does anyone know why its called the "King james Version?"
Becauze King james revised it during his reign to suit himself. he wasn't a good king and didn't like to follow the way the bible was written, so he went and changed a few things and made the new King james version and the people followed what it said. It gave King James more control than it would have otherwise.

I do not own one of those modern Bibles, because as you stated, they change the meaning of the scriptures. The only Bible for me is The King James Version.

Please share with us your source as to that statement you just made, and then we can go from there.

That is not what was implied at all in that link you supplied! It is a very good link however and well worth reading. I did speed read, and so I am going to read it again later when I have more time.
Key, if that's you, why would you not sign in, if you think your name has been 'ruined' then you wouldn't use 'Key' unregistered either, you'd change it.
