Anyone know how to prepare tofu? I guess I am kinda hesitant to do anything with it. I have to eat mostly protein since the gastric bypass, so I thought I'd try it. I have a hard time digesting beef, pork, ground meat and turkey. I eat a lot of scallops and shrimp, and the only chicken that's soft enough are breast tenders grilled on my foreman grill.
I have a pack of silken tofu, but I don't know if it is the right kind, but if the tofu cooked is too rough of a texture, it will not stay down
I have never tried it before ever. If anyone eats it regularly, and can tell me what you think I could try that would lovely!
Thanks!

I looove tofu. I have cooked the silken tofu that comes in a big cube before..you can just dice it into small cubes, drain it, and toss it in a stir fry or soup.
Tofu is fairly tasteless so it pretty much takes on the flavor of what you cook it with. You could use it in a stir fry with shrimp but I would add some sort of marinade with it for flavor.
You could also marinate little cubes overnight in the fridge and toss a handfull onto the Foreman grill with your chicken breasts. It will get rubbery if you overcook it though, so I would wait until the chicken is partially cooked.
Let us know what you come up with..

I think I will try to marrinate some in some beef broth and seasonings. I will let you know how it turns out I just hadn't had the guts to try it yet, lol. I thought about having my grandma make something... She caould make buffalo chips taste like prime rib, lol.
