SmileI thought I'd start a thread just for recipe requests... I'm being selfish here because I have a few requests of my own, but please everyone else join in. Thanks!

Recipe Requests for me:

M & M's Cookies (the old recipe or original recipe)

Macaroni and Cheese that is made with cottage cheese. It was called light Mac 'n Cheese in one of those Taste of Home magazines and I've misplaced mine or else it got thrown out.

Cookies made from a box cake mix--don't recall the name and any kind except for peanut butter.

Quickie Cake - originally from "My First Cookbook" (which I wish I still owned).

I have a request too:

Cookies you can make from scratch that don't have butter or margarine in them. Oil is okay or shortening. Thank you in advance.

Ok, has anyone heard of Junket? It's a type of vanilla milk custard that sets like creamy jello in the fridge. If someone has this recipe I would like to have it. I need explicit directions as mine I always have to drink. LOL
Thanks.

Yes, it's usually on the Jello shelf, when the box is opened it's a tablet form. But, the directions I follow ( and I've tried many times ) seem to get the flavored milk instead of it setting like creamy jello. Do you know of a secret?

Ingredients in this tamale pie recipe include lean ground beef, diced tomatoes, corn, and cornmeal, along with ripe olives and seasonings.
INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup chopped onion
1 pound lean ground beef, round or chuck
2 tablespoons butter
1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (12 ounces) kernel corn or Mexican style corn
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons chili powder
3 cups boiling water
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup chopped ripe olives
PREPARATION:

Sauté chopped onion and ground beef in butter until beef is browned; add tomatoes, corn, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, pepper, and the chili powder. Set aside.
In a saucepan, boil water; slowly stir in cornmeal and 1 teaspoon salt. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until very thick, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the beaten egg; add chopped ripe olives. Spread half of the cornmeal mixture into the bottom of a 2-quart casserole; top with beef filling. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining cornmeal mixture on top of filling. Bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes, or until nicely browned.
Tamale pie serves 6.
